I’m spending this week moving into a new apartment in Harlem, New York City and starting a new job shortly thereafter. I’ll be back here soon but in the meantime, I leave you with this gem by Erin Boyle:

“Where the city is concerned, the layers are practically endless. Scratch long enough anywhere and you’ll uncover another layer beneath you, traces of some other life, reminders of a backdrop to someone else’s store here.”

-from the essay, “Comfort in Layers” on The Equals Record.
